Hello and welcome to Fragged!
My name is Simon Juul Larsen, and I was born on july 23th in 1985. I currently reside in Birkerød, Denmark.
Fortunate enough to grow up in the booming era of home computing, I’ve been surrounded by technical gadgets most of my life – It’s in my blood. 
After elementary school I took a 4½ years education as “data technician”, which I finished on september 2nd of 2007 at Aarhus Tekniske Skole.
The last 2 years of my education was spent as a trainee at IT Forum Gruppen A/S, here I learned lots about Small/Medium Business setups in addition to the problems and advantages with managing a hosting centre (approx. 40-50 servers). Key skills I took with me include:
- Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 / 2003
- Terminal Servers (Windows 2003)
- Multi-tennant hosting with Exchange Server 2003
- Group Policies & Active Directory Structure
- Visual Basic Scripting
- Basic web development (ASP classic, php)
- Cisco IOS (PIX series firewalls)
- CyberGuard/Snapgear series firewalls
- Backup Exec
- AhSay Online Backup
- 1st level hotline and support
After a brief (4 months) voluntary service with the Royal Danish Air Force as a conscript, I moved to Birkerød and got hired at IT-Gruppen Danmark A/S, also located in Birkerød. (August 2008). Here I have continued to develop my skills, especially with Citrix’ product range.
I am currently certified for Citrix XenApp 5 for Windows Server 2003, and I’m working on Citrix XenServer 5.0, Citrix XenDesktop 2.0 and Citrix Provisioning Server 5.0.
